Halifax Regional Police are looking for four suspects after a stolen vehicle fled from police and crashed into a Halifax Transit bus Friday night.

Police say around 9:43 p.m., officers tried to stop a vehicle on Novalea Drive but the vehicle refused to pull over.

The vehicle allegedly took off towards Gottingen Street, with the suspects throwing fire extinguishers out of the vehicle along the way.

About four minutes later, police received a report of a crash between a Halifax bus and a car on North and Robie streets.

Police say the vehicle had struck a bus, causing it to crash into a brick wall on the sidewalk.

Witnesses say the four people in the car ran away from the scene.

The bus driver was sent to hospital for assessment, but no passengers were injured.

Police say the vehicle involved in the crash was the same one that fled from police on Novalea Drive and was reported stolen from the Sackville area in early November.

Anyone with information on the incident or the suspects is asked to contact Halifax Regional Police or Crime Stoppers.
