Rainy conditions in and around Bathurst, N.B., have prompted authorities to temporarily suspend the search for a 14-year-old girl who has been missing for more than a week.

Madison Roy-Boudreau was last seen on the morning of May 11, and police say her disappearance is being investigated as suspicious.

Authorities in Bathurst have located and seized the grey Ford truck that Madison was last seen in at 7:30 that morning.

She was last spotted wearing a grey sweater, a pair of camouflage-coloured pants and silver shoes.

Police said there were no new developments in the case as of 9 p.m. Friday night.

They say the search will resume as soon as weather conditions in the area permit.
