The RCMP are searching for a suspect following an armed robbery in Fall River, N.S.
Police responded to a robbery at a Subway restaurant on Highway 2 around 10 p.m. Wednesday.
They say a man armed with a knife entered the restaurant and demanded cash from an employee. He fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police say the suspect also attempted to rob an elderly man at a nearby banking machine. However, the man refused and the suspect fled the area. Police believe he left in a vehicle.
No one was injured in the incident.
The suspect is described as a white man in his late teens or early twenties. He is six-foot-two with a slim build and was last seen wearing dark clothing.
Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
