BADDECK, N.S. - RCMP are investigating a rash of thefts from vehicles and sheds from a village in Nova Scotia on Christmas Eve.

Const. Aaron Brown says around 4:30 a.m. Monday, officers received a call about four men breaking into a vehicle in the Baddeck area.

Brown says following the first complaint, police received dozens of other reported thefts from vehicles and sheds in Baddeck.

He says about 30 vehicles and several properties were broken into.

Brown says many valuables were stolen and one woman reported having her Christmas presents taken from her unlocked vehicle.

He says police have some leads in the case, including a person of interest.
