Police say foul play is not suspected after a woman’s body was pulled from a Moncton river Sunday morning.
Codiac Regional RCMP responded to an area behind the Chateau Moncton hotel around 8 a.m. Sunday after receiving two separate calls about a body floating in the water
Sgt. André Pepin said on Sunday that the remains were recovered downriver near the Moncton Law Courts nearly 40 minutes later.
The woman did not have any identification and police were initially unable to identify her.
In a news release on Wednesday, police say the death is not being deemed suspicious.
