The RCMP have arrested two men and seized thousands of illegal pills following a 10-month investigation into drug trafficking in southeastern New Brunswick.

Police say they intercepted a recreational vehicle on Highway 15 near Shediac on Thursday.

A search of the RV resulted in the seizure of roughly 19,000 methamphetamine pills, 11 kilograms of cannabis resin and three kilograms of cocaine.

Investigators also executed search warrants at a residence on Inglis Street in Shediac and at the Old Cosmo Complex in Moncton on the same day.

Police say those searches, executed in connection with the drug trafficking investigation, yielded drug trafficking paraphernalia.

Luc LeBlanc, 41, from Dieppe and Jeffrey Bujold, 25, from Moncton, face three counts each of trafficking controlled substances and three counts each of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Police say Bujold was on parole at the time of his arrest but his parole has since been revoked by Correctional Services Canada.
