ST. STEPHEN, N.B. -- Two former Major League Baseball pitchers will be among six athletes inducted into the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame later this year.
Rheal Cormier of Cap-Pele played for five teams in his 16-year career, including the Montreal Expos, the Boston Red Sox and Philadelphia Phillies.
Cormier had a 71-64 record with 760 career strikeouts.
Jason Dickson, a native of Miramichi, was a 1997 all-star in his second season with the Anaheim Angels before retiring in 2000.
The other people who will be honoured are former AHL all-star Gordon (Gordie) Clark of Saint John, three-time Paralympic gold medalist Dave Durepos of Frederiction, Quispamsis softball player and umpire Nancy Morrison and Fredericton native David Sullivan, a two-time Canadian senior men's curling champion.
This year's hall of fame ceremony will be held in St. Stephen on June 7.
