Join the crusade against cancer on Sept. 29, 2018
Ride for Cancer powered by BMO Bank of Montreal – hosted in partnership with the QEII Foundation and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada – is Atlantic Canada’s largest cycling fundraising event. Since 2015, they’ve made it their mission to advance cancer care in our region.
The fight isn’t over – year four and beyond
One in two Canadians will face a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime.
On Sept. 29, the Ride community will once again rise to the challenge of funding new technology to treat hundreds of patients each day, tailored patient and family support programs, and new science directed at local blood cancer research.
New routes, new distances, new experiences
Ride for Cancer is dedicated to improve cancer care and create an event that delivers a remarkable experience that suits individual rider needs, keeps inspiration high and momentum growing.
Participants can choose between the ride’s regular distances of 25, 50, or 100 km via trail, or 100 and 130 km on the road. In addition, 2018 Ride For Cancer is introducing new distance options. There’s a 25 km (youth component) and 75 km via trail and 160 km on the road; a true Century ride for elite cyclists.
It takes a community to win this fight
Ride for Cancer is about making an immediate impact on those facing a cancer battle and transforming care in our region to impact the future. Since 2015, approximately 1,000 riders have participated and have raised $1.1 million net for cancer care in Atlantic Canada.
But in 2018 – WE’RE NOT STOPPING
