SAINT JOHN, N.B. - Police say they are investigating the death of a female patient at the Saint John Regional Hospital overnight Tuesday.
Until now, city police would only say they were investigating a suspicious death at the New Brunswick hospital.
Police are not releasing the person's name by request of the family.
Sgt. Glenn Hayward says in a news release that police have done many interviews and have collected forensic evidence.
He says the preliminary report on the manner of death will remain with the investigators while the evidence is being analysed.
Hayward has declined to say more about the investigation into the death.
