HALIFAX -- The Shambhala royal family grew by one with the birth of a baby girl in Halifax.
A statement from the IWK Health Centre in Halifax says Khandro Tseyang, the Sakyong Wangmo, gave birth to her third daughter at the hospital on Friday.

The baby, Dzedron Okar Yangchen Ziji Mukpo, was born at 4:49 a.m., weighing seven pounds, 15 ounces.
The statement says the child will be known as Jetsun Dzedron, which means Lamp of Beauty.
