Police say a section of Nova Scotia’s Highway 103 is closed due to a single-vehicle collision near Timberlea.

Emergency crews responded to the crash between exits 3 and 4 outbound before 6 p.m.

Police say both occupants were in a Corvette.

The male driver and female passenger, both in their 50’s, were ejected from the vehicle during the crash.

Police say the female passenger is from Prince Edward Island and was transported to the QEII hospital via LifeFlight, where she remains in life-threatening condition.

The male driver, who is from Halifax, was transported to hospital via ambulance and is in serious condition.

The section of highway has been reopened as of Saturday morning.

Police say the cause of the crash is under investigation.
