RCMP in the Moncton area have arrested 10 men, ranging in age from 21 to 63 years old, in connection with a prostitution sting.

Police say six of the men are from southeastern New Brunswick, two are from northern New Brunswick, one is from southwestern New Brunswick and one is from Alberta.

Police say the operation is part of an ongoing effort by the Codiac Regional RCMP to curb sex trade activities in Moncton.

RCMP arrested 11 women, ranging in age from 21 to 61 years old, for prostitution-related offences in Moncton in July.

The men were released on promises to appear in Moncton provincial court on Oct. 16.
