An accident on Nova Scotia’s Highway 102 created quite a mess last night after a truck carrying livestock crashed in Lower Sackville.
Halifax RCMP and fire crews responded to the scene just before 8:30 p.m. at Exit 4C.
They say the semi-truck, which was hauling a load of pigs in a livestock trailer unit, ran off the road and crashed into the ditch. The vehicle remained upright and the driver wasn’t hurt.
The pigs also were not injured in the collision but they were transferred to another trailer so the truck could be towed from the ditch.
The highway was shut down for several hours Monday night.
