SAINT JOHN, N.B. -- Police say two New Brunswick men face drug-related charges following a five-month investigation.

The arrests were made following police raids at homes in Saint John, N.B., and in nearby Rothesay on Monday.

Officers seized quantities of marijuana, hashish, cocaine, prescription pills, cash and a semi-automatic handgun.

Police say 50-year-old Joseph Henri Lambert and 29-year-old Andrew Brian Lambert, both of Rothesay, appeared in court and were charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Police say three other men and two women were also arrested as part of the investigation.

They have been released and are to appear in court at a later date to face drug-related charges.
