A 52-year-old woman is in hospital with serious injuries after she was struck by a car in the parking lot of a Dartmouth grocery store Tuesday evening.

Halifax Regional Police say the collision happened at 5:50 p.m. outside of the Sobeys on Tacoma Drive.

Police say the 19-year-old female driver remained at the scene until emergency crews arrived.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. However, police said Wednesday that the woman’s injuries are no longer considered life-threatening.
