UPPER WEDGEPORT, N.S. – A Yarmouth County forest fire may still have hot spots that need investigating.

Wedgeport Fire Department sent four fire trucks and 15-20 firefighters to the scene on Friday.

The fire was deemed accidental and is now contained.

Deanna Nauss, the fire technician assigned to scene, says she will be in an observation helicopter Saturday to find hotspots.

Nauss says she estimates the fire damaged 2-5 hectares of land.

No one was hurt during the fire.
