The RCMP are investigating a report of a suspicious woman on a trail near an elementary school in Middleton, N.S.
Police said they responded to a weapons complaint near Annapolis East Elementary School Tuesday. The school was placed on hold-and-secure mode as a precaution.
The Annapolis Valley Regional School Board tweeted that students would be dismissed as usual but that police would maintain a strong presence in the area at dismissal time.
Police said they will remain in the area as they try to locate the woman.
