Allan April
Allan April is a videojournalist and web writer with CTV Atlantic in Halifax
Born and raised in Halifax, Allan is proud to be covering stories about his hometown.
Allan received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Dalhousie University, studying political science and sociology, before receiving a diploma in Broadcast Journalism from the Nova Scotia Community College.
Allan began working with CTV Atlantic in 2015 as an ENG camera operator. Since that time he has filled a variety of roles, including production assistant, editor, videojournalist, and web writer.
Allan is a passionate sports fan and also works as a local sports broadcaster for Bell TV1 and Dalhousie and Saint Mary’s University.
In his free time Allan volunteers as a high school basketball coach. He also enjoys travelling, trivia, movies, and television.
Allan speaks English fluently, as well as conversational French and Hebrew.
