Big jump in gas prices across the Maritimes overnight

There was a big jump in the price of gas in all three Maritime provinces overnight.

Nova Scotia

In Nova Scotia, the price of regular self-serve gasoline increased by 3.2 cents. The minimum price in the Halifax area is now 162.9 cents per litre.

Diesel prices increased by six cents. The new minimum price is 187.1 cents per litre.

Cape Breton motorists are now paying a minimum price of 164.8 cents per litre for regular self-serve gasoline and 189.0 cents per litre for diesel.

Prince Edward Island

The price of regular self-serve gasoline on P.E.I. increased by 5.6 cents, bringing the new minimum price to 169.9 cents per litre.

The price of diesel increased by 4.6 cents. The new minimum price is 193.3 cents per litre.

New Brunswick

The price of regular self-serve gasoline increased by 3.2 cents in New Brunswick. The new maximum price is 163.5 cents per litre.

Diesel increased by 5.2 cents overnight to a new maximum price of 187.4 cents per litre.
