A Halifax-based warship has joined a NATO training exercise in the Baltic Sea.
The Defence Department says HMCS Fredericton will spend the next two weeks participating in the exercise with units from 17 NATO countries.
The department says the vessel's deployment is part of Canada's response to Russia's military aggression towards Ukraine.
Earlier this year HMCS Fredericton took part in exercises in the Black Sea.
