Halifax has lifted a parking ban for Zone 1 – Central and Zone 2- Non-Central that was enforced Friday and Saturday night to accommodate snow removal following a winter storm.

Snowplows are still active in parts of the city and icy conditions persist in spots. Residents are reminded that vehicles can be towed any time if they are interfering with snow-clearing operations.

A nor’easter that began Friday night and continued through Saturday brought blowing snow, rain, and freezing conditions to parts of the Maritimes causing delays and cancellations in advance Christmas.
