Julie Caswell
Julie Caswell is a producer on CTV News at Six in Halifax.
Born and raised in Charlottetown, Julie is a proud Islander.
Julie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Public Relations degree from Mount Saint Vincent University. After taking Broadcast Journalism at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, Julie moved to Saint John to work as a reporter/anchor with MITV.
In 1994, Julie joined CTV Atlantic (known as ATV at the time) as a reporter/anchor and then made the transition to work as a producer on the six o’clock news in 2001.
Throughout her time in broadcasting, Julie has covered federal and provincial elections, the Swiss Air disaster, royal visits, and weather events. Julie is a generalist, but has a special interest in covering stories involving the court and crime.
When she is not at work, Julie enjoys spinning, running, reading, and visiting PEI’s beaches.
Julie speaks English.
