Halifax Regional Police are looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed a fatal collision in a Dartmouth crosswalk on the weekend.

Police responded to the corner of Thistle Street and Victoria Road shortly after 11 a.m. Saturday.

Investigators say a woman had been riding her mobility scooter when she was struck in a marked crosswalk by a white pickup truck.

Police say the driver of the pickup truck was travelling south on Victoria Road and was attempting to make a left turn when the collision occurred.

Judy MacIsaac-Davis, 57, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre with life-threatening injuries. She died in hospital later that day.

No charges have been laid against the 50-year-old male driver of the pickup truck at this time.

Police say investigators spoke with a number of witnesses at the scene and determined that four to five other vehicles had turned from Victoria Road onto Thistle Street moments before the pickup truck collided with the victim.

Investigators are looking to speak with the drivers, or with anyone who may have witnessed the collision.
