Another Moncton-area high school teacher is facing sex charges in connection with alleged incidents involving a teenage girl.

RCMP say William MacGillivray was arrested Thursday and charged with child luring, sexual exploitation and sexual assault.

The incidents are alleged to have occurred between March 1 and November 30 of this year and involve a girl under the age of 18.

The 41-year-old Moncton man is a teacher at Harrison Trimble High School, where he also acted as a drama instructor.

MacGillivray is alleged to have committed the offences while in a position of trust. Police say, at this point, one victim has been identified.

He has been remanded until Friday when he is due in court for a bail hearing.

MacGillivray is the second teacher at Harrison Trimble High School to have been charged with sex offences this year.

Kenneth Gunn is facing charges of possession of child pornography, sexual exploitation and sexual assault.

The charges were laid last month in connection with incidents alleged to have occurred between September 2011 and November 7, 2013, involving two females who were under the age of 18 at the time.

The 39-year-old Riverview man taught math and environmental science at Harrison Trimble and was also a tutor.

Gunn is due in court on Friday to enter pleas.
