RCMP in New Brunswick say three more people have come forward complaining that sex toys and women's underwear were stolen from their homes.

The latest complaints bring the number of reported cases of thefts of sex toys and underwear in the Saint-Paul and Sainte-Marie areas to 16.

Police first reported the incidents last Thursday and yesterday they said four more people had come forward to report they were victims of similar thefts in the area.

Three more people have come forward within the last 24 hours.

"Given the nature of the items stolen, we recognize that some people may not be comfortable with reporting it to police but it is important that they do," said Sgt. Scott Sawyer, RCMP Media Relations Officer in New Brunswick, yesterday in a release.

"We have not been able to determine if it's one or more people involved but by reporting incidents to police we will better be able to catch who ever is responsible for these crimes."

Police say the thefts began in July, and they were all committed while the homes were empty.

Police are asking residents to be vigilant about locking their doors and windows, even during the daytime, as these thefts have taken place at various times of the day and night.
