Newfoundland and Labrador reports 21 new COVID-19 cases, two deaths
ST. JOHN'S, N.L. -
Newfoundland and Labrador is reporting 21 new COVID-19 cases since Friday, as well as two more deaths related to the disease.
Officials say one man in his 60s and another 70 or older died in the Central Health region, the 12th and 13th COVID-related deaths in the province.
There have also been 62 new recoveries recorded since the last advisory on Friday, bringing the total active case count to 69 across the province.
Along with the confirmed cases, three new presumptive cases have been identified.
Officials say investigations into several clusters in the Central Health region, including Baie Verte, Twillingate and Bishop's Falls, are ongoing.
They announced they are easing restrictions in a portion of northeastern Newfoundland from Boyd's Cove up to Twillingate, moving it to the same alert level as the rest of the province.
