Halifax police are investigating after a 15-year-old boy was robbed early Monday morning in Spryfield.

Halifax Regional Police say the teen was walking near Sylvia Avenue at about 12:15 a.m. when he was approached by three men and two women.

Police say one of the men hit the teen and then, with the help of another man, took his wallet and book bag.

Both men then fled on foot, and responding officers were unable to find them, police say.

The first suspect is described as a white man in his late teens, with a thin build and short dark brown hair. Police say he was wearing a grey zip-up sweater with a collar and grey sweatpants at the time of the incident.

Police describe the second suspect as a white man in his late teens with short curly brown hair, wearing a black winter-style puffy jacket and grey sweatpants at the time of the incident.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Halifax police or Crime Stoppers.
