MURRAY RIVER, P.E.I. -- RCMP on Prince Edward Island say a woman has been charged after a stabbing at a home in Murray River.

Police say officers were called to the home on Friday evening after a 33-year-old man had been stabbed several times.

He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say a 51-year-old woman was arrested at the Greater Moncton International Airport in New Brunswick on Saturday and was taken back to the Island.

She's facing charges including aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.

The woman, who police say is known to the victim, is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday to face the charges.
