Alexander Keith’s fans will soon have the opportunity to snag an exclusive East Coast Lifestyle T-shirt, thanks to a special collaboration between the popular Nova Scotia brands.
Keith’s India Pale Ale will be available in 28 packs across the province next month and specially-marked boxes will contain an East Coast Lifestyle T-shirt, designed exclusively for the promotion.
“We’re extremely proud to be partnered up with such a great company like Alexander Keith’s and we’re really excited about the collaboration,” said Alex MacLean, the CEO and founder of East Coast Lifestyle.
MacLean founded the clothing line for a classroom project at Acadia University in 2013. After a year and a half in operation, MacLean has sold more than 250,000 products and was named this year’s Student Entrepreneur National Champion by Enactus Canada, the country’s largest student leadership development organization.
“Alex took an idea and has turned it into a wonderful success story and we hope to add to that story,” said Wade Keller, a spokesman for Labatt Breweries.
MacLean said the T-shirts come in light blue or grey and feature either the brand’s anchor logo or a set of crossed paddles, set against Keith’s historic green and blue tartan.
“I think it’s just the most iconic brand for the Nova Scotia people, really, and everyone loves Keith’s and loves that brand name and how it’s been around since 1820,” said MacLean.
“We’re also a Nova Scotia brand so it was just the right fit, really, it’s the perfect fit. You could almost say that Keith’s is part of the East Coast lifestyle.”
The T-shirts will be available in 28-packs of brew at 105 Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation stores across the province beginning Nov. 10.
The promotion will run for about eight weeks or until supplies last. The retail price for the special offer will be $49.98.
