HALIFAX -- The case of a man accused in the fatal beating of a man outside a Halifax bar returns to court today.
Andre Noel Denny of Membertou, N.S., was expected to stand trial on a charge of second-degree murder earlier this month in Nova Scotia Supreme Court.
But the trial was delayed when the 35-year-old accused fired his lawyer.
Denny is accused in the April 2012 death of 49-year-old Raymond Taavel.
The gay rights activist died outside Menz bar on Gottingen Street following an altercation.
It's not clear when Denny's trial will begin.
