Bridgewater Police are hoping for help from law enforcement in the United States as they investigate a case of students sharing intimate photos.
Police seized a number of phones from students at Bridgewater Junior Senior High School last month. At the time officials said the investigation involved questionable images on students’ electronic devices.
Nine students were suspended and their phones are being analyzed by the RCMP’s technological crime unit.
Bridgewater Police have also made a written request to Ottawa for assistance from law enforcement in the U.S. because the service provider for one of the apps allegedly used to share the photos is American.
Police say it’s still too early to say whether charges will be laid.
