On the eve of the one year anniversary of the Moncton shootings, Codiac RCMP are saying ‘thank you’ to the community.

The police force released a video on Wednesday, thanking the people of Moncton, Dieppe and Riverview for their support, both personally and professionally, over the past year.

The video also features officers Cst. Eric Dubois and Cst. Darlene Goguen, who were both injured on June 4th, 2014,

Also showing their gratitude are the widows of Cst. Doug Larche, Cst. Dave Ross and Cst. Fabrice Gevaudan.

In a statement, the force says although it’s their job to look after the community, the community looked after them.

Thursday will mark one year since shooter, Justin Bourque, took the lives of three officers and injured two others.
