HALIFAX - An elderly woman is recovering in hospital after she was hit by a car around 3:40 p.m. Saturday in Halifax.
The accident happened at the corner of Williams Lake Road and Herring Cove Road.
Police say the woman is in hospital with serious injuries.
This incident remains under investigation by police.
Police say the 81-year-old-woman was crossing Williams Lake Road in a marked cross-walk equipped with a cross-walk signal. She was then hit by a 71-year-old-male driver who was attempting to make a right hand turn from Williams Lake Rd. onto Herring Cove Rd.
No charges have been laid in this matter at this time.
