A frantic search continues in Cape Breton tonight after an unusual and unfortunate incident involving a busy ferry.
Emergency crews have descended on Englishtown on the shores of Saint Ann’s Bay.
Reports say a vehicle was driving up the ramp to board the ferry when it failed to stop and drove straight into the water.
The car floated on top of the water for a short time, but it has since disappeared into the cold ocean water.
There’s no word on how many people are in the vehicle, but crews are searching the water.
