Connie and Lisa Oland have released a statement regarding the second-degree murder conviction of Dennis Oland in the death of his father, prominent businessman Richard Oland.
"This week has represented the lowest point of what has been a devastating and unspeakably sad time for our family,” said the family members in the statement.
The statement emphasizes Dennis’ innocence, stating the person responsible for Richard Oland’s murder is “still at large.”
“We continue to be stunned and shaken by the outcome of the trial – especially given the circumstantial nature of the prosecution’s case,” the statement says.
“We know Dennis has been wrongfully convicted and we will pursue an appeal as soon as the process allows.”
The family says no further interviews or comments will be made at this time.
