Halifax Mooseheads fans have come out in droves to support their team this year, especially during the playoffs.

The Mooseheads are just two wins away from sweeping the Q-League and as the team hits the ice in Baie-Comeau against the Drakkar, fans will be gathering in Halifax’s Grand Parade to cheer them on.

"Today and tomorrow, we will be hosting Halifax here on the Grand Parade,” says Coun. Darren Fisher. “I don't know how many are going to show up, but we're hoping at least 3,043, which will be one more than the amount of people in Baie-Comeau.”

Keith Richard has been dubbed a Moosehead super-fan.

"This is great hockey. These are young kids that are out there, doing their best trying to make it to the big leagues,” says Richard. “Not all will make it. They make mistakes, but they play hard and you just got to love that kind of spirit."

Richard is optimistic his team will go all the way and is banking on the Mooseheads taking home the President’s Cup. He already has tickets to the Memorial cup.

"I'm going to Saskatoon next week and I'd love nothing more than to bring the Mooseheads with me," says Richard.

The Mooseheads are just two wins away from wrapping up their series against the Drakkar and taking home the President’s Cup.

The puck drops Tuesday at 8:30 p.m.
