A man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after police responded to a report of an altercation in Halifax Sunday evening.
Police were called to an apartment in the 6100 block of Lady Hammond Road shortly after 10 p.m.
Police say there were a number of people inside the apartment when a fight broke out and one man was struck in the head with an object.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre with life-threatening injuries.
Police say three people are currently being interviewed, but there is no word on charges.
Everyone involved in the incident is known to one another, police say.
