HALIFAX -- A Halifax police officer charged with sexual assault now faces two counts of breaching a court undertaking after he was accused of drinking outside of his home and being in the presence of a woman who is not a relative.
Nova Scotia's Serious Incident Response Team says the new charges against Const. Chris Mosher relate to an incident alleged to have occurred in Lunenburg on Aug. 22.
The 30-year-old Mosher is due in Bridgewater provincial court on that matter on Oct. 23.
Mosher was charged in February with sexual assault and administering a noxious thing with intent to aggrieve after an alleged incident in November.
He is due in provincial court in Dartmouth for that case on June 17 for a preliminary inquiry.
Halifax Regional Police say Mosher has been suspended without pay as a result of the latest charges.
