There was a brief lockdown at Cole Harbour District High School Tuesday morning.

A phone call to Crime Stoppers prompted Halifax District RCMP to shut down the school while they searched the building with police dogs.

Police say the person who made the call had overheard a conversation about the possibility of explosives at the school.

Entrances were locked and access to the school was restricted while police carried out their search.

Police say no explosives were found and everything is back to normal. The lockdown was lifted around 11 a.m.
