A man says he was stabbed while shopping at the Mumford Rd. Walmart in Halifax.

Halifax police say they responded to reports of the stabbing around 8 p.m. on January 2.

A 26-year-old man says while shopping, he felt a sudden blow to his back as if he had been punched. When he reached around to touch the back of his neck, there was blood.

The man was treated by paramedics for minor injuries.

Police say the man is no longer cooperating with officers or their investigation.
