The Cape Breton Regional Police Service found an 18-year-old man who was lost in the woods in South Bar, N.S., on Saturday night.

A woman reported her son was missing in the woods near Kilkenny Lake Road around 7:36 p.m., according to a news release from police. Members from Sydney Fire Services, the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC), the South Bar Volunteer Fire Services, EHS and the North Sydney Volunteer Fire Department helped with the search.

Three police officers used a drone and GPS to find the man, who suffered considerable frostbite on both feet. Paramedics started a fire to help the man and a JRCC helicopter transported him to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.

Police say the man is still in hospital but is expected to make a full recovery.
