A man has died following a two-vehicle crash on Nova Scotia’s Highway 104.

Pictou County RCMP responded to the crash in Broadway, east of New Glasgow, at 1 p.m. Thursday.

Police say an eastbound motorcycle collided with a westbound pickup truck, which was hauling a trailer.

A 52-year-old man from Dartmouth was pronounced dead at the scene.

“At the present time, we regret to inform that there is one deceased at the scene and we’re still continuing with our efforts to determine the cause off this accident and notify the next of kin,” says Const. Bill Rudolph.

The driver and passenger of the pickup truck did not appear to be seriously injured.

Traffic was reduced to one lane for several kilometres as RCMP responded to the accident.

Heavy rains are being considered as a factor in the crash.
