Voters are heading to the polls in New Brunswick, where municipal elections are being held across the province.
About 570,000 people are eligible to cast ballots across the province in the municipal, District Education Council and Regional Health Authority elections.
More than 47,000 residents had already cast their ballots during two days of advance voting.
There are 1,173 candidates registered provincewide, including incumbent Fredericton Mayor Brad Woodside, who is being challenged by Coun. Mike O'Brien for the city's top job.
The cities of Saint John and Moncton will both have new mayors because the incumbents – Mel Norton and George LeBlanc – are not seeking re-election.
The polls close Monday at 8 p.m.
