HANWELL, N.B. - RCMP have arrested a New Brunswick man in connection with a series of weekend fires, including one that seriously damaged a home.

They say 20-year-old Colin Patrick Sullivan of Hanwell is charged with arson without regard for human life.

Police say they received reports of two vehicles, a travel trailer and a home on fire in the Eaglewood Drive area of Hanwell just before 5 a.m. Saturday.

Police say a family was forced to evacuate the home, but there were no injuries.

Less than 20 minutes later, police received a report that a stolen truck had crashed on Brookdale Drive and was on fire.

Sullivan was arrested at the scene.

RCMP say they later received four more reports of vehicles damaged by fire on Hanwell Road.

Police say more charges are expected to be laid when Sullivan appears in Fredericton provincial court Tuesday for a bail hearing.
