The Nova Scotia photographer who left more than a dozen couples without their wedding photos and out hundreds of dollars is apologizing.

In an email to the couples and to CTV News, Ariane Anderson says, “I want to apologize for allowing my personal matters to affect my work and your wedding memories. I am truly very sorry and this was honestly never my intent.”

Anderson photographed the weddings and then left the province. Some couples have been waiting on their photos for almost a year.

On Sunday, Anderson said she has sent a hard drive to local photographer Alex MacAulay, who has offered to do all of the editing free of charge.

Anderson also confirmed she will not be shooting the weddings she had booked this year, but said she will refund the money already paid. A photographer from Calgary has offered to shoot the upcoming weddings for free.
