The RCMP have identified a woman killed in a three-vehicle collision on Highway 105 near Baddeck, N.S. on Monday.
Investigators say it appears Kerrie Lynn MacKenzie was stopped in traffic and was waiting to make a left-hand turn when she was struck from behind by a pickup truck around 2 p.m. Monday.
Police say the impact of the collision forced her vehicle into the eastbound lane, causing it to collide with an oncoming tractor-trailer.
The 45-year-old Middle River woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck was assessed at the scene by paramedics and released. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
The incident remains under investigation. There is no word on charges at this time.
