FREDERICTON -- Government officials in New Brunswick say people living or working in flood-prone areas should keep an eye on water levels over the next few days.
River Watch says temperatures are expected to rise above the freezing point with periods of rain, which could cause a sudden rise in water levels or movement of ice.
They say that could lead to the forming of ice jams.
Officials continue to monitor an ice jam on the Nashwaak River below the MacLaggan Bridge.
Last month, an ice jam in the Village of Stanley caused the Nashwaak River to spill its banks, forcing about 35 residents to evacuate their homes for a few days.
