HALIFAX -- The minimum wage in Nova Scotia is going up by 10 cents an hour.
The province accepted a recommendation from the Minimum Wage Review Committee to raise the base wage to $10.70 an hour on April 1.
For someone with less than three months' experience, it will go up to $10.20 an hour.
The minimum wage rates are adjusted annually and are based on the previous year's national consumer price index.
The review committee includes employee and employer representatives.
