P.E.I. man, 25, charged with attempted murder

A 25-year-old man from Albion Cross, P.E.I., has been charged with attempted murder.

Police say Owen Daniel MacDonald was arrested and charged after a person he knew was seriously assaulted.

The incident happened on Nov. 28 and the victim was sent to hospital.

MacDonald is also charged with:

  • aggravated assault
  • assault causing bodily harm
  • dangerous driving causing bodily harm
  • dangerous driving

He was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Georgetown on Thursday.

Police say they are not providing any further details about the incident at this time as the investigation “may be subject to a publication ban.”
