Pedestrian suffers life-threatening injuries after being struck by vehicle in Dartmouth

Police say an adult pedestrian has suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Dartmouth, N.S., Monday morning.

The incident happened at the intersection of Victoria Road and Chappell Street, according to a 7:20 a.m. news release from Halifax Regional Police.

The intersection was closed to traffic while police investigated and people were asked to avoid the area. It reopened just after 9 a.m.
